Hi,

We have just installed the microsoft cluster 1.0 with Oracle 8.0.5. We also installed Tuxedo as our application server as a NT service. We have put all these in a separate cluster group. The failover is working. Now I want to make a backup with Arcserve. Thus first I want to stop de Tuxedo service and then stop de database. But when I use Net stop servicename or stop it via the Nt services then the cluster system tryes immediately a failover to the other server.
Is it possible to take the Tuxedo service offline manualy and then set it online when work is done.

Thanks in advance,
