Dynamic snapshots?

I'm trying to figure out if it's at all possible to change the 'where' clause of an updateable snapshot on the fly (customer requirement). I need to be able to adjust the contents of the snapshot without having to do a complete refresh, because there are times that bandwidth is absolutely dreadful.

I have a hunch that this isn't possible, but it can't hurt to ask!
