My understanding of what has happened here is slightly different than
yours. I think 13-JAN-00 was correctly interpreted as being year
2000. As it was a date on the database the century would be known
anyway. However when you input 03-JUL-99 as no century was specified
the current century was assumed so your delete got rid of anything
dated before 03-JUL-2099. I know it's only a subtle difference but it
may be important to know that it is your parameter that was
misinterpreted and not the dates on the database.
