install oracle developer 2000

Hello,

I have NT 4 with SP5 and Oracle server 8.

When i install Oracle developer 2000 (v 6), orainst.exe crash,drwatson is running. But when i delete Oracle server 8 and install Oracle developer 2000 (V 6) and i rename the directory and i reinstall Oracle server 8. That work correctly. i don't install the two products in the same directory.

It's normally or What is the problem and the solution ?????
