Oracle Install Major Problem

hi,

I was trying to install Designer 2000 on my NT server... Half way through the installer quit, because of the D703 ... When i tried to launch Oracle Install to remove Designer, Oracle Installer quit
with this error message

Win32.stp(460) Invalid Registration file

i tried to launch the installer on C: but i got hte same error.. and i tried to use the installer on the Oracle 8 CD but it also failed...
