Greetings, all



  On our IBM RS/6000 F50, S70 and S80, when we installed AIX 4.3.3, and
attempted to start our Oracle 7.3.4.4 databases, the servers crashed.
Commenting out USE_ASYNC_IO in the init.ora allowed us to start the
databases.



  We were informed by IBM that there is an 'e-patch' for this - has
anyone else run into this problem?
