   I assume that since your company knows that neither you nor your manager have any experience, this is not a critical system. As well as a book on Oracle you'll need to get one on data warehouse design. The design of warehouses is quite different from that of other systems.

    Don't forget the Oracle documentation as a source of information. It's on their web site and really quite good.

    You may find you design and redesign half a dozen times as you learn more.

    This is a great opportunity for you. A year from now you'll know a lot more, you'll know what you need to learn, and you'll have a real-life project under your belt.
