HI

I have a simple question: we have finally decided its time to migrate to the new db, and now are figuring out whats the best, most recommended way of doing it?

  1. Copy the old data to a temp table, and then, through SQL, insert into the new database.
  2. Use some sort of migration utility..does Oracle have one of its own, and if yes, what could be possible drawbacks of this method?
  3. <Insert any other idea here>

I would appreciate any and all experiences/suggestions!

Thanks a ton in advance..

Regards
Billy
