Oracle App Server in Winnt

Hi,

I have just installed Oracle application server in winnt, but the ORB service cannot be started, and return an error message:

waiting the ORB to be ready...
ORB is not responding, please start manually...

I 've tried to start it with OAS manager and dos command line, both fail and return the error message. The Oracle 8i and Oracle Application server were installed in the same machine but under different machine (according to docs it is allowed).Would anyone tell me whay and how to solve it?
