I'm running Personal Oracle 8 on a non-networked Windows 95 machine.
Up until last night I was not having any problems. Now, when I choose
"Start Database" from the Program Menu, it displays
ORA-12203
Can not attach to Oracle8
The file SQLNET.LOG contains more information:
(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=BEQ)(PROGRAM=oracle80)(ARGV0=oracle80orcl)(ARGS='(DESCRIPTION=(LOCAL=YES)(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=beq)))')))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=orcl)(CID=(PROGRAM=C:\ORAWIN95\BIN\OSTART80.EXE)(HOST=C72FB62E)(USER=Mike))))
VERSION INFORMATION:
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 8.0.4.0.0 - Production Oracle Bequeath NT Protocol Adapter for 32-bit Windows:Version 8.0.4.0.0 - Production
I don't know what resource quotas exist under Windows 95, except that I've checked disk space and all drives have plenty available.
What can I do to get Oracle to start up again? Received on Mon Nov 01 1999 - 00:12:48 CST
