Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> JDBC driver for Oracle 8i (8.0.5) under Linx
Hi,
I'm having some difficulties with Oracle 8.0.5 under SuSE Linux 6.0
(Kernel 2.0.36).
The JDBC driver that came with the download package from Oracle
apparently doesn't
seem to handle BLOB's right. I can store them but selecting them back
from the DB fails.
I have no error message or error code whatsoever. The result is just
nothing, nada, zippola,
no rows!
The very same application runs fine under Solaris. The only difference
there is that I use a
different JDBC driver there (from Oracle 8.0.4, because of the same
trouble my colleagues
had earlier on), so I suspect the driver to be responsible for the
failure.
Does anyone know whether there are older versions of the JDBC driver for
Linux available
anywhere (8.0.4, preferably)? I already checked with the oracle website
but couldn't find
anything there.
Has anybody encountered a similar problem and knows a solution to it?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
