Hi
I do have the same kind of problem and struggling to solve it since 2
weeks.
I can Telnet/FTP to remote host (Oracle Server8 running on Solaris2.6)
and I can do "tnsping" to server instance. But no connection through
sqlplus. (My machine is also Solaris2.6 host with Oracle8 Client)
The connection is DialUP PPP.
I appreciate any help you can give
