Hmmm, your suggestion of LONG RAW becomes a poser.

I checked out your conversion info with regard to moving around a LONG field, and your suggestion was that a LONG can be transferred but a LONG RAW would need C to move around. However, I'm using VB 6 and using SQL parameters to move around LONG data and data with apostrophes.

Meanwhile, I'll be getting with our Oracle and Unix guys tomorrow.
