The OCP DBA test is really platform independent. It doesn't matter much whether you're on UNIX or NT, or Linux for that matter. You would do just as well getting a copy of Personal Oracle to run on your Windows machine. Don't confuse it with Personal Oracle Lite, which doesn't give you all you need.

I run linux and oracle at home over an ethernet cable. It is great for learning Unix, networking, and Oracle, but if you're just starting out, it might be a bit much at one time. Received on Sun Aug 15 1999 - 13:46:13 CDT
