You need a 16 bit client. No 16-bit app can communicate with a 32 bit = app, courtesy of Bill/Intele.

tnsping can't find message file 3505 when I run it from = orawin\network\admin..

entries for tnsnames.ora are in both 32 and 16 bit subdir's paths exist to most areas I can find...
