In ODBC When i use SQLDescribeParam, it always returns a VARCHAR
parameter type, even for non character parameters.
Is this a normal behaviour from the Oracle driver ?

in use Oracle driver 8.00.05.00.

Contact me if you notice that the driver as some unpredictable behaviour
(i have some problems, such as no error message and Sqlstate displayed
by the driver when errors occure, Date data type only retriveved as
SQL_CHAR data type (not with SQL_TYPE_TIMESTAMP) ...)

thanks,
vincent
