Re: Oracle ODBC 8 Driver to Oracle 7.3.x Database

I have Oracle 8.0.5 and Oracle 7.3.3 on same server. I have installed on may machine clients for both 8.0.5 and 7.3.3, Net8 and SQL*Net witch goes with 7.3.3 (I couldn't remember exact version number), configured for both databases (It is possible to connect to both databases via either Net8 or SQL*Net). When I wanted to link some data from 7.3.3 database using Access, I choosed External Data > Link from File menu, pick up Oracle8 ODBC driver, made datasource with proper TNS alias and it worked fine! I didn't encounter any troubles...
