Oracle 7.3 - ORA-03114 - auto recovery?

We have a commercial application that uses Oracle, MSSQL or SQL Anywhere. The product runs in a Fault Tolerant Mode. There is a primary database and a standby database.

One of the tests is to disconnect the machine where our master program runs (using the primary db on a different machines) for 30 secs and then reconnect. Nasty Nasty thing to do to a database. Well we get ORA-03113 and ORA-03114 error messages. Is there a way I can automatically recover from this kind of error?

Any help would be much appreciated.
