Oracle and Applixdata

Hello,

I found some good Information in internet how to connect from Applixdata under Linux to Oracle 8 under Linux.
The problem is, that Applixdata and Oracle have to run on the same machine.
Now I tried to run axnet on a remote Maschine where Oracle is installed and to get a connection over elforacl.
The error Message Iget get is Broken pipe or not enough database licences.
Has anybody a working connection ?
Is there a ODBC Driver for Linux availiable ? -- =
