I am trying to work out consistant lead times for planning and WIP using 10.7. I am trying to figure out how "Processing time" is used for detailed or MRP scheduling(for a manufactured item). I have covered everything in the Oracle book several times. That seems to provide little insight. It looks like fixed, variable and pre-processing are the only things that factor in to MRP off-setting.
Taking that a step further, the only reason I see to have a "Lead time lot size" is to generate the value for processing time. This takes us back to the first question.

What is the point of these?
