Called pivoting. You want to display the rows as columns and the columns as rows - i.e. vertical to horizontal as you mentioned in the topic of the posting.
The trick is to create a pivot table to perform the pivoting of rows to columns. I have posted about how to do it before in this newsgroup. Once in '97 and once in '98. Damned if I'm going to do it again in '99! :-)
