Hello,
I am trying to simulate a production project that will be implemented soon. We are running Oracle 7.3.3 on Solaris. I want to inset records to a remote database elsewhere on the network. Since that machine is not in place yet, I have hooked up a PC to the hub and installed Personal Oracle 8.
What I want to do is create one table on the Personal Oracle and try to insert records from our production database. Other than an entry into the listener.ora and tnsnames.ora, what else would I need?
I do not think I need to run Net8 config....and it does not work anyway as I keep getting an error in WINAWT.DLL.
Please send responses to my e-mail.
Thanks,
Arthur
