Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> snmpagent, linux
still struggling, with help from the usenet and the web it was
possible to install and relink the snmp agent stuff. My system
currently is a suse53 with opatch.rpm and tcl patch for intelligent
agent. Now, I had the agent running once. But I cannot figure
out anything special I did there.
lsnrctl dbsnmp_start says:
(c) Copyright 1997 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
NL-00462: error loading parameter file /oracle/u01/app/oracle/product/8.0.5/network/admin/snmp_rw.ora NL-00427: bad list
The problem appears to be caused by the file snmp_rw.ora, located in the network/admin stuff. It has not been modified and looks like:
snmp.contact.LISTENER = "" snmp.index.LISTENER = 1 snmp.contact.mydb.my.net = "" snmp.index.mydb.my.net = 2
where mydb.my.net is the global dbname.
OTN knows about a similar problem on RS 6000 AIX, looks like
NL-00462: error loading parameter file /network/admin/snmp_ro.ora
NL-00405: cannot open parameter file
SNL-00821: nlfncons: file does not exist
They fix it up with a patched nmiconf.tcl file.
So, it seems like a tcl problem at first. But then, it was running, once. I may have screwed sqlnet stuff, but the listener starts up fine. Also, connecting from OEM and creating a repository is fine.
Oratclsh has been relinked with
libtcl.so => /usr/i486-linux-libc6/lib/libtcl.so
that is a symlink to libtcl8.0.so
Well I am sort of stuck here, this may very well be a stupid mistake,
at least it looks like one...
Regards, Philipp
