forms 5.0 messages question

Hi,

I just want to display a message from a forms 5.0 application witout waiting for operator response. So I use message('message_text', NO_ACKNOWLEDGE) but then it did not display the message at all. If I use message('message_text') then it waits for the operator to respond. Is there any work around or any other function that I could use in my program ?
