I used to work for Oracle. They are an excellent company for which to work. Of course, I was a consultant, and you may be interested in other areas (e.g., development). In any case they are an overall great company.

How much you enjoy it will depend on your manager, the people you work with, and your attitude.

If you are going into consulting, the only issue may be extensive travel.

FYI - I left and started my own consulting firm specializing in Oracle. The opportunity was there; it wasn't because Oracle wasn't a good company.
