Weird problem with Oracle 8 ODBC driver ?

We have a strange problem with the Oracle 8 ODBC Driver. If you try to 'Add' a system DSN using the 32 bit ODBC Administrator the properties dialog box does not appear. It is not an ODBC problem as all the other drivers work fine. Furthermore, it only seems to happen on some machines (with no pattern as to which machines work and which don't).

Has anyone else had the same problem ?

The driver version is 8.00.0500.
