foreign key assignment in Designer/2000

When using the Designer/2000 edit function feature to assign entity/attribute usages to functions, how do you assign the use of foreign key entities? That is to say, If I have a table reservation(child) and a table user(parent) with a M:1 relationship how can I assign the creation of a new reservation attribute(user_name) if it is just referenced from the user table?
