DB2 For Oracle DBA

Hi,

I'm an Oracle DBA who's working in a DB2 shop. "Lost" doesn't meet the situation.

Is there a cram book that will give me any orientation to the DB2 RDBMS, based on common Oracle terms, like "Data Dictionary", and "Archive logs"?

I'm also interested in the idea of database connectivity, where Oracle databases are connected to DB2 databases. How do they communicate? I've read about Oracle nameservers, and "future" plans for an Oracle DNS nameserver which could sit atop Oracle nameservers servicing Oracle Databases, and DB2 nameservers (Name?) doing the same for DB2 dbs. Any good books out there?

Please reply to me at: gillis_at_sgis.com
