ODBC Timeout Problems

I have a VB Application, and on one particular server I keep getting ODBC Timeout errors. With 4 other servers I do not get this problem. It cannot be related to the amount of data being processed, because the data is identical on all servers.

I have tried changing the ODBC Timeout setting in VB (even to Zero [0]), but it makes no difference to the outcome.

Has anyone got any suggestions on how to overcome the problem
