How is Oracle Lite so lite?

I've been using the Enterprise version of Oracle for several years now, and knowing how many system resources it can consume I've become interested in Oracle Lite. I've been thru the Oracle documentation and just can't seem to come up with the reason that Oracle Lite is so lite. Would anyone who has used Oracle lite please answer the following:

  1. Does Oracle Lite support all the same SQL commands as the Enterprise edition? Nested selects? Joins? Unions?
  2. How many DB connections can I create to an Oracle Lite DB?
  3. Other versions of Oracle have several processes continuously running to provide the DB service. It appears that Lite runs no processes. Is that correct?
  4. Where's the product spec sheet for Oracle Lite showing max DB size, max number of rows/table, etc?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,
-Tom A.
