Hopefully the disks were SCSI not IDE. IDE are very CPU intensive. Also
ODBC generates a lot of reparse (high CPU usage) and from VB you would be
better off with Oracle's OLE objects and use parameters. It will
signifigantly reduce the CPU usage on the server (NT or UNIX).
