HELP: ORACLE 8 and ORACLE 7

I have a proble in this kind of system (in Windows NT 4.0 Server): 1 Server Oracle 8.03
1 Server Oracle 7.xx
Some clients with Oracle 8 client
1 Client with Oracle 7.xx client AND Oracle 8.03 client: this PC is very very very slow connecting to the Oracle 8.03 server the first time. All the others PCs work fine. Is this one slow because of the double Oracle installations?
