I believe that if you only delete the files which have the archive flag set
(or is it cleared?), as shown below, you should be OK:
del j:\orant\archive\*.dbf /a:-a
Otheriwise you will spend a lot of time every day verifying what was or was
not archived...
Am I over-simplifying?
