Getting started with Oracle

Can anyone tell me how to get started with Oracle.  I will end up with Oracle
as a backend and MS Access97 as a frontend.  I would like to get started with
about 5 client licences and will eventually end up with about 200 client
licences.  What version of Oracle should I get to test in a 5 user environment
and where do I go to purchase.
