Dev2K: How to use passed parameters?

In Developer/2000, how can I make a called form use parameters passed in a parameter list?

I've read through all the documentation and two different books. All give detailed instructions for passing parameters to a called form. But none explain how to use the passed data in the called form! Can anyone tell me how to, say, make a value passed from the calling form appear on a canvas in the called form?
