Clearing output from htp.p and starting over within PL/SQL

Hi Y'all...

We have a need to trap errors in a PL/SQL procedure running under the OWS. We can trap them with EXCEPTION, but in this case we want to basically throw away any output generated (with htp.p) and start over. Does anyone know how to clear the output without showing it in the browser?
