Your DBA   should leave the  parameter blank and you can mention the
directory of your choice and  that directory will have security permsion
according to your access given to you for your Unix Account.



So each individual could put his/her  out put in the directory of their
choice and your DBA should not have to worry about and her worry should not
deprive others from doing work.



I am using this and given to my users and all is going fine.
