Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> Errors with Net8 Easy Config on TCP/IP
Hi all!
I'm new in Oracle8, and this question can be one of FAQs, but I don't know exactly where to seek the answer. I've found one similar on Oracle Support but that's definitely not my case[ increase the number of colors and screen resolution, etc. -- i have good resolution and color depth already]
So, having just installed Oracle Enterprise Edition on WinNT and Oracle Enterprise Manager Client program on Win95, I got lots of Java errors. The one that's most bothering me is network configuration with Net8 Easy Config. Testing connection for TCPEXAMPLE, it brings up an error: "Java program caused an exception... in module MSVCRT.DLL"( can't write that correctly, cause I'm getting this in national language). I've found that even tnsping80 on TCP connection gets the same results.
Right now I can connect to my Enterprise Server only on Named Pipes, but there are some Java programs in the package that crash too.
Because I repeated Client Installation on another machine, and got the same results, I got the feeling that this can be common problem, but can't find where it is described.
