Hi there,

In Windows NT (you didn't mention platform) you simply run your EXPORT utility
from the DOS prompt. Check the name of the import utility executable in
\orant\bin directory.

eg) DOS> exp73 username/password@hostname

It will save the file as "EXPDAT.DMP" (or you may rename with .dmp extension)
in the current directory. It will prompt you for various options, which will
be somewhat self-explanatory. This will create a nice little dump file just
waiting for import to its new home. When you're ready to import use the
IMPORT utility, ie) imp73.
