ORACLE DBA - HOUSTON, TX

YOH Information Technology has 2 Oracle DBA contract-to-hire positions with one of our Houston clients. The job functions include the following: (1)Perform software installations/upgrades; (2)Determine when new releases are appropriate and Create environment for new releases; (3)Log technical reports;
(4)Advise management on licensing and installation issues;
(5)Determine space requirements for databases; (6)Build databases;
(7)Determine backup/recovery plan; (8)Monitor performance; (9)Monitor
tables and table space growth; (10)Coordinate database availability;
(11)Verify backups; (12)Check logs; (13)Perform Oracle tuning;
(14)Monitor system space; (15)Monitor processes; (16)Maintain user and
DBA passwords for databases; (17)Create appropriate privileges as needed; and (18)Audit databases.

The ideal candidates MUST have 2+ years Oracle DBA experience (See Above Job Functions) with Unix (AIX or Solaris) and NT operating systems.
