Dev2000 - stacked canvasses using same datablock

I have a content canvass containing a list of directorate names. As I scroll down my list I would like the location and other details of the current directorate to appear on the stacked canvass which only contains one record.
I am struggling to get my stacked canvass to appear at all when running even though it appears on the layout wizard as a stacked canvass for the content canvass.
