Dear Group,

I have some problem to connect to an Oracle 7.3 server running on a Risk/6000 (AIX). My client program runs on WinNT/Win95. Using Access 7 and MapInfo 4.1 I can connect to the oracle database simply. But the ODBCtest fails with "Not connected" message, so does my Visual C program.
As I checked the ODBC trace when a I used Access or MapInfo I found that they get back a SQL_SUCCESS_WITH_INFO after connecting and they reconnect to the ODBC data source with a full connect string (SQLDriverConnect with NOPROMPT). Is it a standard solution to reconnect? Why doesn't do the same the ODBCtest?
Any idea?

Thanx
