Can You tell me what is the error you are getting and hope the following may help you.
ping <Server IP address>
2. Go to PC ORACLE_HOME/network/admin and edit tnsnames.ora and look for service name you are using to connect to oracle. Check for host variable and if some name are written there like "SANTA" or like Change it to Original IP Address of the server if the step # 1 was went thru fine
OR
You can use Oracle Utility called SQL NET EASY CONFIGURATION and then follow the Step prompted for
