ETISALAT, the United Arab Emirates Telecommunications Corporation, an industry leader in the region, is seeking a senior database administrator. Candidates should have an IT related degree and a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in database administration. Should have in depth experience in at least 2 of the major commercially available relational database management systems. Experience in managing high availability and active OLTP environments is a must. Should be familiar with current database software development techniques and trends. Responsibilities include:

     Logical and physical database design     Performance monitoring and tuning
    Resource planning and procurement
    Design & implement data archiving strategies     Design & implement backup and recovery strategies     Manage the DBA team
