Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.misc -> PUBLIC synonyms,views on ORACLE 8.0.4.1.3 via ODBC to ACCESS 97 !
hello to everybody out there on the oracle forum
i have a great problem with my public view´s which are installed from catproc.sql scripts on installing a new database.
every user can see them (yes i know they are public), but I won´t like
this
querying in ALL_TABLES, ALL_CATALOGS, V$*, etc.
is there a possibility to reduce the access only to the tables i give to
the user.
they should not see any public.* .
is it possible to do this with a small sqlcode of "REVOKE".
please help me because i think
it is one of the most common problem
which probably every admin, who uses odbc, has.
with many thanks in ad.
