I am unfamiliar with UNIX and I created a database. Ran the catalog, catproc sql files and connected as sys to the database. I do a select * from user_tables and get table or view does not exist error.

Why is this occurring, did I miss a step??

Where do the user_tables, all_objects tables, views etc get created??

Thanks in advance.

I also get this when I connect as sys

Error accessing PRODUCT_USER_PROFILE
Warning: Product user profile information not loaded! You may need to run PUPBLD.SQL as SYSTEM Error accessing package DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO ERROR:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1 ORA-00904: invalid column name

but I ran pupbld as SYSTEM and catproc as internal
