I wouldn't *depend* on it and I certainly wouldn't want to use it in an environment where I depend on being able to compile and link software that is supposed to talk to Oracle.

we develop software. developing software when clients want Linux is hard if you're going to use Oracle. therefore Oracle is not used.

(although that's not the only reason we chose Solid instead of Oracle  as our main development platform for web applications. check out  www.solidtech.com)
