I have a client who in the past had two large applications, both running on Oracle 6, but on two seperate machines. These two applications shared information between them by utilising SQLNet version 1. Over the past 12 months this client has now convert one of the applications from Oracle 6 to Oracle 7.3. However there is still a need to share information with the other application which is still under (currently) oracle 6.

According to information provided SQLNet cannot access an Oracle 7 database and SQLNet Version 2, does not provide access to an Oracle 6 database. Is this correct, and if it is , is there a way around this limitation but using a third party product.
