By 'Data Source' are you referring to ODBC Data Source or the setting up of TNSNAMES.ORA files. Both are needed if you are using ODBC. For the TNSNAMES.ORA setup I would look into using Oracle Names instead of trying to centrally manage the TNSNAMES.ORA setup. Using Oracle Names eliminates the need for a TNSNAMES.ORA file completely. For ODBC definitions it depends on your client. For Win95 you can push out registry update files that contain all of the information necessary for setting up the DSN.
