Need Oracle JDBC Patch for SP Output Parameters

Lately I've started designing web apps using Oracle's latest JDBC driver. All's well except that I want to use our standard Insert/Update Stored Procedures which return several Output Parameters. I'm using Sapphire/Web 4.0 and so far, the applets I've designed/used 'work fine'...but when I Insert/Update, the hourglass just stays there and the applet doesn't Refresh.

I heard from several sources that Stored Procedures that involve Output Parameters cause problems for JDBC....but word has it that SOMEWHERE OUT THERE, there may be a patch available.

Is a Patch available?

Is one in the works?

Has anybody else experienced this problem?

Any help will at least redirect my frustration & confusion!!!
